カラオケ店で歌ってきました。I enjoyed singing some songs at a karaoke bar.

私は、歌を歌うこと、聴くことどちらも好きで、よくカラオケ店で歌っているの。友達と行くこともあれば、一人で行くこともあり、一人の場合は、曲を数曲に絞って練習しているの。今回は、時々行くお店へ（下の写真）友達と行き、よく歌う歌十数曲を歌ってきました。今日の出来は、まあまあってところかしら。

I like songs, both singing myself and listening to other people.  And as you may understand from this, I often go to a karaoke bar, sometimes with my friend(s) and sometimes myself alone.  If by myself, I select several songs to sing for practice.  Just recently, I had a picture taken in front of the karaoke bar I sometimes use, as shown below, when I shared karaoke time with a friend of mine.  I sang a dozen of my favorite songs this time, rating my singing skill so-so.      

 

日本では、カラオケは何十年も前から人気が高いのだけど、今でもカラオケフィーバーは衰える気配がないように思えるわ。「カラオケこそはすべて」とまで言う熱烈なカラオケファンもたくさんいるのではないでしょうか。まあ、そう言う類の人々は「そこいら中」に存在し、中には「一週間に八日」くらい歌っている人もいるかもしれませんね！

Here in Japan, karaoke has been popular for scores of years.  And still now, karaoke fever doesn’t seem to fade away.  Perhaps, there are a great number of karaoke fans, some of them may even saying to themselves, “All You Need Is Karaoke!”  I think such a kind of people (karaoke mania) are easy to find “Here, There and Everywhere”—some of them may even enjoy themselves “Eight Days A Week!”

近い将来、私の歌声、歌っている姿をご披露させていただけたらと思っています。あまり期待せずにお待ちくださいね！

I hope to let you see me singing a karaoke song on video in the near future.  But please don’t expect too much of my performance!
